Totley History Group in Lockdown
In March 2020 the committee of Totley History Group were agonising as to whether the meeting scheduled for the 25th should be cancelled or not. The decision was made to cancel and we all now know that was the right decision. We had hoped that we would be able to recommence our meetings in September 2020 with a delayed AGM but, of course, that was not possible.
Like most other similar groups Totley History Group has been unable to operate at all since the initial lockdown other than to take our turn, with other local groups, in keeping the War Memorial site clean and tidy.
With still not knowing when any reopening of the Library for public use is likely we have decided to offer the February and March meetings “online” on a trial basis. The February meeting is a talk by Penny Rea about the Zion Graveyard in Attercliffe and the March meeting will be Ann Beedham telling us about the history of stained glass.
We are hoping that we will be able to resume “normal” activities with an even more delayed AGM in September this year but, as ever, that will depend on the level of restrictions that may, or may not, be in force at that time.
Details of these meetings can be found by following the link below, and all are welcome to join us.
