Happy New Year! We hope everyone has had a restful and healthy Christmas and New Year.

Just before our Christmas closure the library’s boiler was condemned, which has meant a postponed 2022 re-opening with reduced operating hours initially to enable library users to return and collect books. There will not be a return to weekly events until we have a suitable heating solution in place, do check our website and social media pages sites for updates on opening hours.

Please note that library book fines are currently suspended to 31 March 2022.

Opening hours from 10th January will be:

Monday 2 – 4pm                   

Tuesday 10 – 12pm                                               

Wednesday 10 – 12pm and 2 – 4pm

Friday 10 – 12pm                  

Saturday 10 – 12pm


Winners of our Christmas Raffle

During December we ran a Christmas raffle, the prizes and winners were: Biscuits No 76 Jim Shore and No 91 Akiko Widdowson; Luxury Hamper No 59 Bet Warwick and ‘Free from’ Hamper No.20 Roger Lasko.

Totley Library Cinema 2022

Totley Library Cinema Logo Competition

Due to our postponed re-opening we have extended our Totley Library Cinema Logo Competition deadline to Friday 4th February 2022. See our website or pick up a leaflet in the library for more details.

February Films – our January cinema programme has also been moved to February and is available for booking. If you have already made a reservation for films below it will still be valid. Book tickets at Totley Library in person or by calling 0114 236 3971. Raffle tickets can be purchased on the door. Refreshments will be served at these films. You can make suggestions for further films to be screened in 2022 via the film survey on our website or scan the QR code on film posters in the library.

Totley Library Community Art Space – Original Art and Prints for Sale

Having re-launched the Community Art Space at Totley Library at the end of 2021, we are delighted to exhibit new art works by Angela Harpham, Sarah Wild, Gina Hodges and Andrew Jeffery. We are currently displaying original art and art prints for sale at very competitive prices, so do take a look when you visit.
