Our children’s library is a bright and welcoming space for children of all ages.
We have a cosy sofa area, younger reader books at child height and lots of carpet space and toys for little ones.
There are fiction and non-fiction books for older children and a dedicated young adults selection.
There are computers with internet access for children to do research or their homework.
Colouring pens and pencils, games and jigsaw puzzles are always available.
On Wednesday mornings in the Children’s Library, between 10.00 am to 11.45 am up to 6 children at a time will be able to take part in a themed craft activity.
This will be offered on a free-flowing basis and supported by volunteers from the Story Time Team.
Throughout the morning, as children come and go, other children will be able to join in the activity
We hope that this provision will facilitate the opportunity for a weekly activity for families with younger children, whilst still being able to maintain a safe, well-ventilated space in the Children’s library.’
Please note: there will be no provision over October half term school holidays
