Meet the trustees
Julie Kitlowski – Chair
Local GP who has worked in primary care for 30 years. Chair of Rotherham CCG and Health and Wellbeing Board in Rotherham for 4 years dealing with partners in the council. Police surgeon for 10 years. Interested in health and wellbeing/prevention and helped set up Social prescribing using invaluable volunteers from various charities to support patient services. Interested in travelling, racketball and hiking
Chris Lansdown – Treasurer
Chris is a retired Chartered Accountant who practised in Sheffield helping with the financial affairs of small family companies through to people who wanted help with the taxation affairs. He enjoys living in Totley near to the beauty of the Peak District with its opportunities for hiking and outdoor activities.
Collette Duke – Events Coordinator
Collette has previously worked for South Yorkshire Credit Union. She currently volunteers for a variety of groups run by Totley Rise Methodist Church alongside regular shifts in Totley Library. Her hobbies include football, movies, and music.
Kevin McLean – Secretary
Kevin retired in 2021 from a career spanning public administration, digital inclusion and running his own business. He is currently the secretary to the Board of Trustees.
Cvetelin Vasilev – IT and Libary Cinema Lead
Cvet has a degree and a doctorate in Physics and at the moment is pursuing a career as a biophysicist at the University of Sheffield, always curious and eager to learn new things. He looks after the library website and IT equipment.
Carys Hamilton – Lead Trustee Operations Manager
Carys retired from teaching in 2013. She joined the Library Volunteers as a Day Coordinator in 2014 and became a trustee in 2020.
Martin Brown – Building Coordinator
Taking early retirement in 2022 after a career in commercial construction of over 40 years covering both new build and refurbishment projects. I started to volunteer at the library with the gardens team in spring 2023, expanding that role to Building coordinator in Autumn 2023 . Interests include travelling , walking , cycling and DIY.
